ANNE TONER

Anne Toner

singer / songwriter / pianist
Anne Toner is a singer/songwriter/pianist. A contemporary roots/folk artist who recently moved to the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia after spending 20 years in Tasmania where she became a popular artist at local festivals and Sunday afternoon music venues.

Her warm vocal tones and melodically rich, piano driven songs captivate her audience and are known to make a grown man cry. Her songs weave tales of human nature and reflect on the natural world.

In 2019 she won the Mike Silverwood Award (Folk Federation of Tasmania) for song writing with her gospel song Someday Soon

In 2018 she released her first album Spinifex.

In 2021 she recorded a solo live album "In one dream and out the other" which is available to purchase on Bandcamp.

Her third album "Now to the Sea" will be released in July.

This was recorded live by Jed Pickett at Rolling on the River Recordings with David Steel on guitars and drums and Louis Gill on bass guitar. Overdubs were added later with Tiffany Eckhart on backing vocals and Ross Smithard on violin.
Anne often plays with her long time friend Brian Gamble on drums and Pete Rowland on guitar.
